I just bought a GoFlex Desk 1.5 TB external drive (STAC1500100) with USB 2.0
I plugged the power and hooked up USB to my Windows 7 PC, then I opened my Windows 7 'my computer' browser and formatted it using 'default NTFS' by way of a 'Quick format.'
I didn't want the easy backup software; I just wanted 1.5 TB of hard disk, and I got it. Everything is fine.
My question is this: Is it possible to pull off the adapter from my STAC1500100 and (while building a W7 PC from the motherboard up) plug it directly into my motherboard and power supply by way of a SATA cable and SATA power clip from my switching power supply? This is the discontinued 1.5 TB STAC1500100 and I want to convert it to a workable internal drive.
