Binili ko po itong unit sa greenhills. Nagbakasakali po ako na baka pwedeng iopenline ito sa smart store kaya pumunta ako.

Hindi chineck yung phone kung under contract pa.
Katwiran ng staff sa smart store ay hindi daw pwede dahil naka prepaid ang unit. Sa ibang store nalang ipaopenline.
Chineck ko naman at malinis ang IMEI nito, pero wala akong mahanap na makakatulong.

Unfortunately, wala pang unlock para mga second hand phone na hindi pa nakakapagapply sa Smart.

Only the original owner lang can able to unlock the phone.

Unless NTC supports mandatory unlock for Smart and Globe Devices, may lead to accept a third party unlocking companies without any account number from them.

Theres some news circulating around that mandatory unlock by NTC will be in effect by June.
If that's the case, I as the new owner of the phone, can it be unlock without the previous owners information?

Possible, pero matagal pa mangyayari. Kasi mga third party na unlockers, naghahanap ng butas para gumana.

Hirap kasi ngayon yung gpp ayaw gumana sa 12.3, and wala akong backup phone na 12.2.
Sir one more thing. May alam ba kayong trusted iphone unlock service? And magkano gagastusin sa smartlocked?

As i said, wala pa nagununlock ng Smartlocked and Globelocked devices. Maliban lang sa Smart and Globe. Sila lang may kaya magchange ng sim restriction ng imei, depende kung meron kang plan and ended na ng plan na iyun.
