I believe compatible yan sir even though 1600 yung freq. Most low end motherboards po (esp. Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, ASRock) using DDR3 has an automatic underclocking naman if above spec yung ram inserted. Not unlike DDR2 days po na high spec freq ram can cause incompatibility on lower end boards.

I think the price depends on the carrier the iPhone is locked with then again it also depends on who/how much the FU tech is charging for it.

If you're buying 2nd hand please keep this in mind. DDR3 Non-ecc = Desktop / Consumer Ram <- Your mobo compatible DDR3 ECC = Server Ram <- Not compatible with your mobo.
