If there’s one video game we’re all excited for its Gran Turismo 7. The follow-up to Gran Turismo 6 and Gran Turismo Sport was originally scheduled to come out this year following its announcement last year. However, it seems there has been a slight delay with GT7. Sony has now announced that the Real Driving Simulator will be arriving in 2022.
Sony made the announcement through an interview between You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now..
“GT7 has been impacted by Covid-related production challenges and therefore will shift from 2021 to 2022. With the ongoing pandemic, it’s a dynamic and changing situation and some critical aspects of game production have been slowed over the past several months. We’ll share more specifics on GT7’s release date when available,” said Sony.
Unfortunately, there’s no clear release date apart from 2022. That said, Gran Turismo 7 could be released as early as January 2022 or as late as December. Hopefully, it’s the former instead of the latter. Still, it's better to delay the game's launch than Polyphony Digital release a half-complete game followed by huge updates to add content. It will also give the company more time to refine and possibly add more cool cars right from the start.
More importantly, the delay of Gran Turismo 7 will give players more time to score a PlayStation 5 at official retail prices if they haven’t done so. Since GT7 won’t arrive until 2022, there’s no reason to settle for scalpers selling the console at PHP 10,000 above retail price.
