I wonder why would these Chinese diplomats reach out directly to the Vice Admiral and not in their counterpart?

Still the Chinese diplomat does not have the power to confirm agreements with the Vice Admiral of WESCOM. There is no law or information about a Chinese diplomat having the authority to make binding agreements with a Philippine military official. Diplomatic negotiations typically involve higher-level officials from both countries, not military commanders.

And this the part of gentlemen agreement between Duterte and Xi? AFAIK mag resupply lang ang Navy.
hehe di mo alam details ng gentlemen's agreement? the gentlemen's agreement is to maintain the status quo in the region, this means China won't claim new islands as long as the Philippines won't do it as well

Additionally according to Roque, the agreement allowed for the delivery of basic supplies to the BRP Sierra Madre but prohibited the construction of military outposts or the use of construction materials for its repairs but did not explicitly mention the removal of the BRP Sierra Madre from the Ayungin Shoal.

Also the agreement's legality was not formally documented or ratified by the Philippine government which is very questionable. The 2016 arbitral ruling recognized the Philippines' exclusive economic zone (EEZ) in the South China Sea, which includes the Ayungin Shoal. The agreement's restrictions on the BRP Sierra Madre's repairs and maintenance seen as a violation of this ruling.

gentleman's agreement is not a legally binding agreement and cannot be used to confirm agreements between diplomats or military officials. Formal, written agreements are necessary for legally enforceable agreements in diplomatic and international relations.

correct because that's the status quo, no military activities on that region because the status quo is that China claimed that particular shoal and it should be maintained like that, humanitarian activities lang (which include fishing) at walang military

it means di mo alam what is a gentlemen's agreement haha gentlemen's nga lang eh ba't gusto mo ipa-record haha

EEZ is not a territorial power or ownership bossing

that is the very reason why it is only called a gentlemen's agreement haha di mo talaga get's what agreements are considered as gentlemen's only

bakit boss di mo alam na China was accused of wiretapping? it is very obvious na wiretapping makes the transcript authentic and when that transcript becomes authentic edi laglag na ni WESCOM bossing

Do you have a legal basis for this? You know naman kung wala kang mapanghawakan na papel or idaan ito sa legal way, pwede baguhin ng both paties ang kanilang agreement with or without the other parties involve.

haha until now di mo pa rin ma-gets bakit tinawag na gentlemen's agreement lang, naghahanap ka pa din ng legal basis haha kawawa ka naman

So you supporting this agreement even if you know it is not legal? Pwede naman balewalain ng current administration yan dahil wala naman pinang hahawakan ang China na kasulatan.

a gentlemen's agreement is an un-documented agreement boss, before you can say an agreement is îllégâl, you must ensure that an agreement actually exist, so how can you ensure the existence of an agreement if it's not even documented?

If that so Philippines has no basis to comply to these agreement right? Since this is un-documented and only Duterte and the Chinese goverment made this deal.

yup in fact vangag junior declared that whatever agreement exist between the previous admin and china is void, so that's the reason why china resumes in their claims since the status quo is now null and void

To simplify Duterte and co already knew there would be a problem if they put the agreement on the legal way kaya ginawa na lang gentleman's agreement para ma push through lang ito.
