I must say i'm impressed! What a speech! Clear with ideas on how to face the covid crisis....

here we go (some quotes from tonight speech):

Government must spend more, spend efficiently and quickly as if our economic survival depends on it –– because it does.

Address the pandemic and we set the economy in motion.

Gov't needs to harmonize cash-for-work programs for COVID-19 programs. People can be hired as contact tracers.

gov't should set up own evaluation units for locally-made PPE rather than rely on foreign medical labs.

There needs to be a program to help community-based businesses to sell online. Kailangan padaliin ang pagbubukas ng account sa bangko at tulungan ang lahat na makapag-sign up sa digital mode of payment. By going online and making cashless payments easier, people can support businesses without exposing themselves to infections.

For OFWs, the gov't should have reintegration and livelihood programs.

a ₱5,000 monthly aid for the country's 10 million poorest families for four months to keep them away from hunger.

the government should put up shared cell sites in areas with poor or no signal: Paraan ito para sumulong sa isang better normal.

calls to support local businesses, banks, land lords to be humane in dealing with borrowers and tenants.

Mabilis silang kumilos at all hands on deck ang pagsagot.

other nations were able to stem coronavirus spread because they have clear plans and policies based on science.

EDIT:

Oops! my bad! I was just dreaming.... Of course it can't be duterte's speech, it's too well structured with concrete ideas on how to manage this crisis... duterte has nothing to propose, no plan! he just wait for a vaccine!!! Meanwhile Filipinos are dying or starving or both

But for you, to compare here is what he really said: (now, who has the best plan for the country?)

And also, FYI, duterte denied knowing people from revgov movement but... Bobby Brillante, is the deputy national spokesperson of the MRRD-NECC & national coordinator for the group's Revolutionary Government Committee.
