People nowadays depend on technology. Do you think this will make people smarter or the other way around ? Why or why not. Share your thoughts guys.

Mapapa-essay ako ng konti hahaha.
Current advancement in technology is mostly directly related to better QoL (quality of life). Usually, hindi directly related ang smartness sa advancement in technology (or just technology in general) but rather diligence. Siguro mas tamang tanong "Will technology make people lazier?" at ang sagot ay yes. The direction of technology right now is automation of everything from production (mga factories), transportation (tesla autopilot), and basic daily necessities (like dishwashers, robot chef, etc).

Actually you really got a point. That's the question that was on my mind earlier bc people will depend on the advancements of technology and this will result to convenience of everything.

Ang sinasabi kasi is that we have been doing these actions for a long time such that we have basically "mastered" the action (eg. production, transportation, daily necessities) kasi nga paulit-ulit, hence the introduction of automation. The argument then is that with automation-driven technology, mas magkakaroon tayo ng time para gumawa ng "mas makabuluhang bagay" na hindi sakop ng mga na-"master" na actions.

May point ka :)
The concept of tchnological advancement is a proof na tumatalino talaga ang mga tao over time at patuloy gumagawa ng ways para mapadali ang buhay ng lahat. Minsan kasi may mga bagay na hindi naman na talaga kailangang gawin the hard way. It's good to know and study how some things were traditionally done pero nonsensical kung gagawin pa natin gamit ang pamamaraang mahirap kung may way naman na using technology para mapadali ang process ng mga bagay na 'yon.

If we make use of technology to help us with our work, I believe that is a smart move, but if we make technology do all of our work, we might eventually become dumb.

Dati walang ganyan, talagang bakbakan mag solve like polar to rectangular and etc. But it doesn't makes us any less.
