Planning to treat my bike with new components.
torn between changing rear derailleur or lighter cassette.
ano mas beneficial?
use my bike mostly on trails and fire road.

both. get an RD with clutch, tapos cassette na may magandang range. isama mo na din ang chains at inner shift cable para sabay-sabay ang wear and tear.

Currently using M6100 RD and Cassette, pero isang beses lang pde gumastos naka track kay misis😂
Looking for M8100 upgrade 🤭

Pwedeng patingin??? hehe
2x10 ang setup ko sir. Luma na pero still in perfect running condition kaya hindi ko pa na convert to "one by...".

Try looking up 2014 Specialized Crave Pro. I have kept everything stock except for the shifters, FD, grips, at saka tubeless na sya.

It is better than a 1x12, kasi mas magaan sya, mas durable, at saka wider ang gear range nya. Best bang for the buck, sabi nga nila.

I haven't bled the brake fluid yet since buying it 9 years ago. Gayun din yung brake pads....hanggang ngayon hinihintay ko pang mapudpod.

Looks nice! Yung geometry nya is similar dun sa unang Trinx bike ko. Good choice dn sa tubeless switch.

Ako rin medyo nagtake time before ako nagswitch sa 1x setup, and sa circle of friends ko may isang naka 2x setup parin and malakas umahon sa offroad, malaking tulong talaga sya.

mag brake bleed kana sir hahahahaha

The 2x setup has several advantages over 1x. One is when you need that big jump in gear ratio (like an uphill immediately following a downhill). One click on the FD is equivalent to several clicks on the RD.

Elite riders using 1x who have no choice (because they are sponsored) have to familiarize themselves with the track before the race, so they can plan at which sections they would do preemptive clicks of the shifters to quickly get to the ideal gear ratio. This necessitates the use of electronic shifting kasi hindi masyadong pagod ang daliri kumpara sa mechanical.

Ang isa pang bentahe ng 2x ay longevity. Mas matagal mapudpod ang cassette and the 2x chain rings dahil spread out ang wear. Hindi isyu ito kung sponsored rider ka, pero kung sariling pera mo ipinambili ng mga parts....this is something for you to consider.

Ang tanging bentahe ng 1x ay you can dedicate the left side of the bar for other functions like remote suspension lock/stiffness, at saka kapag gumagamit ka ng remote adjustable saddle height. Less confusing or less clutter kapag walang FD shifter na kahalo.

sakin kasi, bihira na lang ako nakakapagbike, and less tuning needs + less maintenance dn yung advantage ng 1x systems sakin.

and yeah, naka-dropper post din ako, less clutter talaga sa handlebars.
