S·T·S Unli Data 599 and Unli Fam 999

Unli data 599 is not working on pldt home wifi, but 599 on openline modem it works only Google, YøùTùbé and Facebook, but if i use the 599 on pocket wifi or directly to the mobile all the sites works fine. Can anyone explain why?

you can read more details on smart website about unli data 599 and unli fam 999, there is a comparison table just google it. Technically, 599 is only available on smartphones and pocket wifis but not on modems but there is a workaround. You can either change imei of your modem to an imei of a phone or a pocket wifi or register to magic data 99 as already mentioned in the previous comments.

Just tried the plan 599 on a my huawei modem with an IMEI i changed to that of my smartphones IMEI, working naman as usual. Ignore the earlier post about speed as I am now reaching the original speeds I had before. Mukhang natyempuhan ko lang na nagmaintenance si Smart kaninang madaling araw kaya consistent na mabagal din. If any, I'll share my Fast.com speeed test na lang din as proof.

With this same performance as the old 499 unli data lang din yung 599. This is assuming you could change the IMEI of your modem to an IMEI na pang CP. If not, oks na rin yung fam plan 999 talaga for ease of use dun sa mga di makapagchange ng IMEI. Eitherway, still cheaper than the smart infinity plans that cost 2.5k before at the cheapest and now 3.5k/month. Will observe na lang siguro yung performance nito over 1 month since 400GB+ consumption ko ng data per month. If this doesnt slow down, you won't here from me here na rin siguro. Update na lang ako kapag bumagal talaga, hehe.

Just tried the Plan 599. nagchange IMEI lang ako, gumana naman sa modem. Speed is fine, but definitely slow at 10-15mbps. This is very useable naman. Pero when compared to my speed with unli data old promos that i still have stored here , dapat pag madaling araw 50-80mbps na ako eh. So yea, unli data sya nga, pero DL speed is limited to 10-15mbps pero yung upload speed doesnt seem to have a limit, yung DL speed lang talaga, and consistent yung DL speed nya sakin on those range, yung upload speed ang walang loimit, hence talagang tinothrottle nila yung 599 at least in DL speed. Kaya better use 999 na lang, unless otherwise no more than 15mbps yung speed nyo sa area nyo, then use 599 na lang din. For me, sa register ko next month yung 999 na kunin ko para namamaximize yung speed ng smart sa area namin kasi consistent 20-80mbps ako any time of day here samin eh. Sa plan 999, sure gana naman na din sa modem, less hassle na din sa iba siguro na di marunong ng change IMEI chuchu.

AH hindi, ignore na lang my comment. bumalik na sakin sa dating speed, mukhang nagmaintenance pala kaninang madaling araw si smart kaya consistent na mabagal kanina. Ngayon back to normal na, observe ko na lang if same speed pa rin kahit hundreds of GB of data na nagamit. update ako kung kumupad, if not, will retain to using the unli data plan 599 since working na sa modem ko. ♥

Depende sa modem na gamit, yung sakin kasi Huawei B525-65a na modem na unlocked, marami na tutorial sa YøùTùbé paaano change IMEI easily via cmd&telnet, for other modems, di ko na alam process, may ibang mahirap process eh. Check nyo na lang sa ibang thread yung how to change IMEI based sa modem na hawak nyo.
