Sorry po. correct me if I am wrong po.

Upon reading your replies, ms. Transexual and Transwomen are the same regardless kung nagpasurgery sya or hindi. Transexual are people who undergone with surgery or hormonal replacement therapy (medications or gamot) therefore kahit di pa nagppaasurgery as long as u take the meds, transexual ka pa din po, it’s just a denotation, okii? Trans(transitioning or nagpapalit) sexual —(ng body parts kaya naggrow ka ng breastttt na same sa cisgender woman (females who born with assign birth)) Sana malinaw sainyo, ‘wag po sana natin sila bigyan ng misconception pls

How are they different?

According to You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now., the main difference between the two is that, unlike transgender, the term transsexual is not an umbrella term.

Some people, including those in the medical and psychological fields, still prefer to use the term transsexual to refer to those who have had gender-affirming medical interventions, such as hormones and surgery.

However, most medical professionals will use whichever term the individual prefers.

Some people who do not identify as transsexual would not use this term, preferring the term transgender, which is more inclusive and affirming.

It is important to ask each person which term they would prefer.

So mean, transexual is mayroong surgery na nagaganap

“the term transsexual is not an umbrella term.” Ayan na nga mismo te oh, hindi lang sya kasama sa umbrella term, okii? “use the term transsexual to refer to those who have had gender-affirming medical interventions, such as hormones and surgery.”

And to make it clear, yes! some transwoman prefered to be called transwoman or a transgender, kasi mas affirm yun, the term transexual kasi is ‘di lang belong sa umbrella term sa sexual orientation which are transwoman or transgender woman. That’s it
