  • Whenever it’s possible, use a VPN. A VPN (a virtual private network) masks your IP and makes you look like you’re from another country. A good free VPN is CyberGhost
  • Delete your browser history, cache, and cøøkíés frequently. cøøkíés are trackable and may contain sensitive data, so it’s best off if you clear them regularly.
  • Use secure text messaging apps.
  • Use secure email services, like Protonmail. Protonmail’s servers are located in Switzerland, one of the countries with the strictest privacy laws, meaning that not even Protonmail admins and staff can see what you’re emailing.
  • Use search engines that do not save your information. Saying goodbye to google may be hard, but duckduckgo is an excellent substitute - and it doesn’t track your info down!
  • Use long alphanumeric passwords. The password ‘abcdefg’ gets *****ed in 0.29 milliseconds. A strong password should consist of alphanumerical characters with special symbols. Some people even use hashes as their passwords.
  • Enable 2FA on everything you can. Enabling 2-factor authentication will bring you another level of security, as you need to check every login with your phone. It’s also worth noting that the best way to do so is by using an authenticator app, as text messages may be unsafe, due to social engineers trying to get access to your SMS’s via your provider.
  • Use a good antivirus of course
