Use below steps to increase internet speed android phone.Slow internet speed in your android phone can be due to poor signal strength or Apps using data in background.
We can improve browsing speed of android phones by:
>Improving signal strength.
>Blocking background Apps accessing data.

Set preferred network to wcdma/3g only
Check your network type when connecting to internet. If it keeps switching from 2G to 3G,then it is due to bad signal strength and it will slow down your internet. Because your phone will keep searching for network and data speed declines during this process.
To fix this ,we need to set preferred network to 3G only or WCDMA. This stops your phone from searching for 2G network when we have bad 3G signal strength.So phone keeps connecting to 3G strength.
To set preferred network;
>Go to settings – wireless & networks/ more networks
>Tap mobile networks and choose preferred network to 3G only.

>Check the box corresponding to ‘Restrict background data’.This will prevent Apps using internet in background.This have a drawback since we are disabling it for all applications,Apps like G mail works only with WiFi.

>Tap the account you need to stop data sync.If you want to stop Google services ,then tap Google.
