Samsung scammed us! Beware on Exynos 990 processor

Hindi ako nagkulang sa mga reviews about sa phone mismo, S20 FE. Kasi undeniably maganda talaga yung phone based sa specs and build quality niya. Ang hindi ko lang alam is yung variant e iba iba pala at yung umiinit na exynos. At hindi ako samsung user. Usually, snapdragon, mediatek, kirin yung mga naexperience ko and I don't mind about the processor nong una kasi wala akong masyadong nakita na difference.

At ito ang dapat niyong itake note, walang kasalanan yung mga bumibili kasi yung company mismo e nagpromise ng magandang experience. Kasalanan to ng samsung, why are they even selling an inferior product sa mga taong nagbabayad ng maayos? It's a real definition of scam. And logically speaking, people are not to be blamed if they are scammed because the seller made a promising pitch of their product di ba?

I have given this a good amount of research before getting a Huawei device. Pinapapili kami before sa Samsung S10+ and Huawei P30 Pro. Smart postpaid plan, Exynos lang meron sila. Did a lot of comparison between Samsung Exynos and Snapdragon, grabe ang difference. Normal users wont complain, but those who know this scheme of samsung will. This exynos variant is the chipset they are experimenting on para sana makatapat sa Apple chipset, pero to no avail, kahit sa snapdragon di nito kayang maakapagsabayan.

Ito yung list ng isang user tungkol sa Exynos chipset na gamit ng samsung.

1: Exynos 990's CPU is based off the outdated Cortex A76 architecture even for its “cutting edge" Custom Mongoose 5 cores. Whilist the most direct opponent, the Snapdragon 865 uses the modern Cortex A77, more power efficiency and plenty of extra performance.

2: Exynos 990's Mali G77 MP11 is a disaster. It's the main cause behind the overheating issues of the 990 and is over 2 TIMES slower than the Adreno 650 of the Snapdragon 865. Placing the Mali at an Adreno 630 level, a 2 years old GPU.

3: The ISP (Image Signal Processors) equipped by the Exynos 990 is a piece of steaming garbage. You'll notice incredible sharpness and color accuracy differences between an S20 with Snapdragon and an S20 with Exynos when shooting photos.

4: Exynos 990's overall efficiency is bad, it can last entire hours less than the Snapdragon 865, even with 60Hz instead of 120.

5: The Mali GPU does not support the easily updatable drivers that Adreno 650 features thanks to Qualcomm, therefore you'll have to stick with very long optimization times (Basically every year with the OS update, if any optimization is done at all).

6: Samsung's infamous awful scheduler system for the CPU that cursed us ever since Exynos 9810 is still partially there, and is one of the reasons behind Exynos's 990's poor CPU performance. Even the Kirin 990 does better than that!

7: Overheating means no decent sustained performance at all. If you game on your phone, or If you work with it, Exynos 990 is your ticket to hell.

Sa mga pipili, be wise. Huawei new models may not have google services, but it is a bang for the buck device. Also consider Xiaomi and Apple. Maganda ang Samsung, dont get me wrong--pero ung mga naka Snapdragon variant lang nila ang maganda. Vivo and Oppo do provide a good user experience, pwede nyo rin to subukan.
6 GB ram and UP na ang piliin nyo palagi, 128gb storage naman or pataas palagi since you will be using your phone as long as it can last.

Wala ka ng magagawa kasi yan ang marketing strategy ng samsung. Full of advertisement tinalo pa ng huawei compared sa nilalabas nilang flagship phone. Nagrereklamo ka ngayon tas nag research ka na hahahahhaha di pwedeng research muna bago bili

Nice info TS. nakabili din ako nito, but based on my experience, ok naman siya para sa akin, siguro nagexpect ka lang sa phone mo dahil hinahanap mo yung katulad sa ibang brand mo na phone, again this is flagship phone, might look on apple's battery? may constant drain din siya. maybe an update will fix the issue, been using samsung eversince both exynos and snaps procie. if you want the snaps procie pwede ka magpabili sa tropa or mama mo sa US. but in asian exynos is most common distributed.

Samsung user din kami before ng family ko, bilis talaga masira yung battery nyan dati pa, wala pang built in batt lakas lumobo and masira. Mga 2months lang inaabot samin kahit di naman ginagamit while charging. Yun pala sa pag overcharge sya nasisira. Gamay ko na yan noon pa kaya nagswitch ako ng oppo and realme

Sa specs naman, 1080 lang. Sadyang overrated lang talaga siguro ang brand na samsung sa market. Kaya recommended ko nalang talaga yung mga cheap chinese phones like realme, xiaomi, or oneplus (if you want flagship specs)

No offence papsi... Pero do your research muna if bibili ka ng high end na phone. May mga history of defects na kasi yang samsung simula pa nung note 5 yung sumasabog and meron din kami fair shares of frustration not just the battery but the system itself. Maganda naman ang quality ng samsung phoes in terms of build quality pero ewan ko lang sa chipsets.
