gusto ko lang iask kung ano ba talaga ang nagagawa ng rooting sa mga devices?

i have plan to root my unit sana kaso di ko alam kung worth it

i have a device na low lang ang internal, and i want to expand its use by inserting memory card, kaso di naman nalilipat sa memory card yung storage capacities ng app, even i formatted the memory card as an internal memory, nag fufull pa den

will be the rooting process will fix this?
and about the apps, paano malalaman kung ok sila sa rooted devices?
