“Rich people don’t sleep eight hours a day,” Harvey explained to his audience. “That’s a third of your life. It ain’t but 24 hours in a day! You cannot be asleep eight hours a day! You can’t live in L.A. and wake up at 8 o’clock in the morning. It’s 11 o’clock on the east coast. The stock market been open two hours. They’re already making decisions about your life and you were asleep! The Bible says, ‘he who loves to sleep and the folding of hands, poverty will set upon you like a thief in the night.'” – Steve Harvey

Let’s have some real talk about the sleeping habits of the rich and famous. You might think everyone needs 8 hours of sleep to function correctly. But let me tell you, that’s not always the case, especially for successful people. Most successful people in all areas of life go through a season where they only sleep 6-7 hours a night, especially during the typical work week and at least early in their careers.

Why Do Rich People Sleep Less?
So, why do rich people sleep less? Well, it’s not because they don’t need sleep or are superhuman. It’s because they’re busy! Successful people have a lot on their plate and know that time is precious. They have goals to achieve, businesses to run, and deals to make. They can’t afford to waste time sleeping when they could be working towards their dreams.
Several studies have found that many successful CEOs sleep an average of just 4-5 hours per night. This might sound crazy to some, but it’s just part of the job for these high-achievers.

So, while getting enough sleep is essential for our overall health and well-being, it’s clear that some people can function with less sleep and still achieve incredible success.

How Many Hours A Day Does Steve Harvey Sleep?
You might wonder how much sleep Steve Harvey gets each night. Well, let me tell you, he’s no different than any other successful person out there. Time is valuable, and he tries to make the most of every moment.
On an average night, he is estimated to get approximately 6-7 hours of sleep on his work days. That might not sound like a lot, but it’s enough for him to function at his best. He wakes up early in the morning and works on his show. One thing we can be sure of is he doesn’t sleep 8 hours and believes that it’s a lazy life to live.

So, for those who think you need 8 hours of sleep to function properly, think again. Sometimes, less is more! Harvey said he wasn’t a morning person early in his life, so he chose to do a morning show to force himself to wake up early.
