The pi Puppids are a meteor shõwër associated with the comet 26P/Grigg-Skjellerup.

The pi Puppids get their name because their radiant appears to lie in the constellation Puppis, at around Right ascension 112 degrees and Declination −45 degrees. This made them only visible to southern observers.
They were discovered in 1972 and have been observed about every 5 years - at each perihelion passage of the comet - but often at very low rates per hour.

The Pi Puppids meteor shõwer takes place within the boundaries constellation of Puppis. The meteor shōwer occurs between Apr 15 - Apr 28 with the peak occurring on the 23rd of April every year.

Although called the Pi Puppids, the radiant point is closer to Hadir (Sigma Puppis) and is to the south of the Pi Puppis. Pi Puppis is a brighter star and therefore should be easier to spot. If you know where Sirius is in the sky, look down from it.
Seen from Mountain View , the shõwer will be active each day from dusk until around 21:05 when its radiant point sets below your western horizon.

These celestial event is observable until April 28,with an expected peak of activity on April 24,it can be observed after the sunset until 10:09 pm.
