With her achievement, several companies and sports foundations in the country have announced that they will be rewarding Diaz with cash incentives, residential properties, and more.
These include a house and lot in Tagaytay from Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham Tolentino, a ******inium unit in Eastwood City from Megaworld, PHP 10 million from the MVP Sports Foundation and from business tycoon Ramon S. Ang, unlimited flights from AirAsia Philippines, and 80k free miles per year from Philippine Airlines.
On top of these rewards, Diaz will also receive a brand new vehicle and a lifetime supply of fuel. Starting with Foton Philippines, the automaker announced that they will be gifting a brand new 13-seater Transvan to the country's 1st Olympic gold medalist.
“The Filipino Pride stands top high on an international audience with the triumph of our Filipino athlete, Hidilyn Diaz. As she drives home glory, we are honored to prize her utmost dedication with top-rated mobility of Foton Transvan 13-seater,” said Rommel Sytin, president of Foton Motor Philippines Inc (FMPI).
Also awaiting Diaz is a lifetime supply of fuel from Phoenix Petroleum. In a statement, founder, president, and CEO of Phoenix Petroleum Dennis Uy said that they will reward Diaz with free fuel for life, and PHP 5 million in cash through its Siklab Atleta Pilipinas Sports Foundation Inc.
“It was our vision when we organized the foundation to rally the private sector to help our athletes in their quest for the Olympic gold, and now we have our first gold medal. I wish Hidilyn the best and we shall continue to support our Filipino athletes so we can have more golds in the future,” shared Uy.
If that's not enough, the Vehicle Inspection Center Operators Association of the Philippines (VICOAP) announced that they will provide a lifetime free inspection service to Diaz.
