There’s no need to pass a law requiring mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations for Filipinos, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said.
Marcos Jr. said people are free to choose whether they want to get inoculated.
“Hindi naman talaga kailangan isabatas ito dahil malaya pa rin tayong mamili para sa ating sariling kalusugan,” the President said in a recent video message on Facebook.
But, Marcos Jr. said studies demonstrate that vaccinations help in the prevention of Covid-19 infections.
He added that the push for a massive vaccination program is part of the government’s preparation for reopening schools and easing restrictions.
