No nationwide MGCQ before vaccine rollout is safest but too cautious League of Provinces

President Rodrigo Duterte’s decision not to allow the implementation of modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) in the entire country until the COVID-19 vaccination rollout starts is the safest measure but too cautious, the League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) said.

Interviewed on Dobol B TV on Tuesday, LPP President Marinduque Governor Presbitero Velasco Jr. pointed out that the economy should be reactivated as suggested by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

“Tama po talaga 'yun. 'Yun ang pinaka-safest. Pero super cautious po 'yun. At kailangan na po natin paganahin ang ekonomiya sabi ng NEDA,” Velasco said.
