According to a new report, iOS and Android are no longer competing for the crown: they both have room for separate crowns. Android leads in device market share and doubled during the past year to reach 564 million last April; on the other hand, iOS wins in total time spent in apps and this number has increased thanks to new device launches.

The reason is that Android and iOS buyers are very different: apparently, iOS’ seek for a device that operates as a pocket computer and Android buyers choose the brand when they finally want to upgrade their feature phone, being attracted by the price discounts and the wide range of available models.
