Enjoy😋

Ingredients
For Kwek-Kwek:
4 pcs. boiled chicken eggs and 10-15 pcs. boiled quail eggs
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup corn starch
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. fine black pepper
Pinch of orange food color or anatto powder
1/4 cup flour (for dredging)
Cooking oil

For Manong Sauce (Eto na!):
7 tbsps. sugar
2 tbsps. flour
2 tbsps. cornstarch
7 tbsps. soy sauce
2 1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp. fine black pepper
1 pc. chopped red chili
1 medium size onion minced
1 tsp. garlic minced
Cooking oil for deep frying

Procedures:
Let's make Manong Sauce first.
1.) In a sauce pan, combing all ingredients except onion, garlic and chili. Mix well.
2.) Once there are no lumps, turn on the stove and Bring it to a simmer over low heat while stirring continuously.
3.) Add Onion, Garlic, Chili and stir until the sauce thickens. Usually takes about 3-5 minutes.

Kwek Kwek/Tokneneng next.
1.) Heat Sauce pan over Medium head and Add Oil.
2.) Meanwhile, In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, ground pepper and water and mix to form a batter. Consistency is almost similar to that of a pancake batter only a bit thicker. Add enough food color and mix until the desired color is achieved.
3.) Spread 1/4 cup of flour on a plate. Dredge each egg with flour covering the surface completely.
4.) Transfer the floured eggs, one at a time into the orange batter and using a spoon or a barbecue stick, turn them over to cover them completely with batter.
5.) Once oil is hot, use a stick or a skewer to pierce a coated egg or just use two spoon and drop it to the hot oil. Fry a batch at a time about 1-2 minutes each side or until crispy.
6.) Remove the eggs from the hot oil and transfer into a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
7.) Serve while hot and with Manong Sauce.

You may Adjust the Ingredients based on your own liking. Enjoy!
