Kate Valdez has revealed that she had a hard time getting back into her character at the beginning of the lock-in taping for “Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday.”
“Ilang months din kami walang taping. Hindi ko po dine-deny. Medyo nahirapan ako mag-adjust sa character ko noong magkakaroon kami ng lock-in taping,” Kate said during a virtual press conference on Thursday.
The lead actress, who plays the role of Caitlyn, added that because of the break, she wasn’t sure where her character stood emotionally.
“Medyo kinabahan ako ... nasaan na ba ako? Saan nag-stop ’yung emotions niya? Gaano kalaki, gaano kabigat? Nahirapan na ako mag-adjust sa totoo lang,” Kate said.
However, the actress said that going back to the set helped her get back into her character.
“Sa set na-surprise naman ako,” she said. “Kasama ko kahit papaano na help ma-boost ulit kung saan ako nag-stop na emotions.”
In September, the “Anak ni Waray vs Anak ni Biday” cast got back together for their lock-in taping to finish shooting scenes for the highly anticipated drama series.
The series will recap episodes Monday and release new ones starting Feb. 8. – RC, GMA News
