Closed Internet Cable (Outdoor) question

Hi.

Was wondering what type/kind of cable do I need to purchase for my internet connection. I live in a building and the management doesn't have a conduit ready, the ISP is requiring me to have the and ready cable-conduit from downstairs of my building to my unit (5th floor). The connection will be a VDSL type since Fiber is not readily available in my area now.

If you could give me an exact type of cable that I can buy, that would really help a lot.

That requires.you a cat 6 or cat 7 cable with appropriate protection from heat and rain. Dont buy cat 8 because max distance to maintain 25gbps is limited to 10m.

Hi! Thanks for answering my question. Really, a big help! Was wondering which is better Cat 6 or Cat 7 for that kind of length of cable (50-60m)?

And any specific brand that I should look for? Or just any Cat6/7 that has all those protection?

Cat 6 - 7 100m. More than that internet (speed)will drop

Cat 6 and up has thick cables that can withstand heat and rain. But they are not totally built for outdoors. They actually going to degrade through time
