For example, back in the old days diba "Up to 42mbps" yung nakalagay sa advertisements nila? Well yes, yan yung maximum speed ng 4G back then.

Medyo mahirap yan ma achieve ng consumer yung 42mbps dahil yung testing nila ng ganyan is 1 device connected to a cell tower (sector) lang.

In the real world, obviously maraming tao nagsisik-sikan sa isang tower (sector).

Now meron ngayon newer technological advancements namely LTE-A / 4G+ and 5G.

Now, there's absolutely no guarantee na makukuha mo max speeds nito. Pero it will certainly be better compared sa 4G Pocket WiFi lang.

****LTE-A and 5G are still under roll-out. Not all areas are covered by this type of network. But most areas are already on LTE-A / 4G+. And a lot of areas are already on 5G.

****If you use an LTE-A / 4G+ Pocket WiFi on an area that is only LTE / 4G. You won't see any speed difference. Pero if LTE-A / 4G+ na yung area mo. Then, you should be good to go.

Thank you sa info master.

Just make sure na 4G+ or LTE-A ready na yung area nyo ha.

Pwede mo rin yan matest using your phone. If medyo high-end or mid-range yung phone mo, once you turn on mobile data. Dapat may makikita ka na "4G+" symbol. If "4G" lang then baka di pa upgraded yung area mo, or yung phone mo is di supported yung 4G+.

Anong phone gamit mo paps? Maganda kasi if Supported talaga ng telco yung phone.

Like sa akin.

Same area (Iloilo City). Same telco (Smart *using 5G):
Huawei Nova 7 5G: 658mbps
Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G: 550mbps
iPhone 12 Pro: 671mbps
Poco F2 Pro: 313mbps

You can see if anong phone yung hindi supported ni Smart jan hahahaha. Very clear.

If congested yung tower and wala ka pang 5g,
you can just use 3g
based on my old phone kasi mas mabilis pa 3g which can get 30mbps midnight than
that unstable 4g congested signal I get from the tower.

I'm using gomo on samsung galaxy a52 5g (Cebu City).
Gomo pala. Under kasi yan ni Globe. And yung 5G ni Globe is 2 times slower sa Smart...

Also, di ako makapaniwala jan ah. Yung fastest possible speed na nakuha ko sa 3G is only 22mbps. Are you sure 3G yan?

Pero oo, in a lot of congested areas mas mabilis si 3G than 4G.

yes one time I got 30mbps using 3g on midnight using speedtest.net app

Iba yun panahon nya. Ika nga yun walang katapusan na mj vs lj

legit to paps 😂

pag nag promo kasi sila sabihin nila "Up to Xmbps" so pwede maging zero mbps. Dapat sabihin nila minimum of Xmbps
