If this is your first try at Fancy Cakes, try starting early by selling Sugar, Flour, or Salt. Windmills are at a discounted price currently! Don't sell any raw crops like Wheat, Sugarcane, or Brine, *instead *use them in the Windmills to get more cash selling higher tiered goods! Note: You won't need Flour until after you've built a Cakery and start making Batter, so it may be wise to focus on Salt and Sugar at first.
Once you've made enough cash, start prepping for building Gasoline. There's a guide in for Gas set-up if you need help.
The next best step is to save up for a Bakery. Once you've built a Bakery and some Milk Barns you can use Milk, Sugar, and Salt to make Butter! Butter sells for $20k each, thats $200k per truck load! Once you've made it to Butter, continue to add more crops, windmills and animals as you save up for your first Cakery.
If you've successfully built your first Cakery, you can now start crafting and selling Batter! To make Batter you will need to have Butter, Flour, and Eggs being made already. From there you can add more Bakeries and Cakeries and start making Cakes!
After you've made it to Cakes, work toward turning those Cakes into Fancy Cakes! For that you will need to start growing Cocoa Trees and Strawberries, and will need a couple Chocolate Shops to make both Chocolate Bars and the Fancy Cakes.
Reminders:
Brine crafts it fastest when next to salt water.
Windmills are fastest when not in Shade, but keep in mind that spreading them out will cast a larger range of Shade around your town and may slow down your crops.
Strawberries, Salt Fields, Chechen Coops, and Milk Barns are not affected by Shade at all.
Milk Barns cast 2 tiles of Shade.
Loggers, ATVs, and Tractors cost Stars to build.
