what you need:

a. nokia phone (mine's nokia 5800xm)
b. nokia pc suite installed on your computer
c. Service Provider Sim with load (Smart user test with PhP 6.50 running balance.)

SETTING UP YOUR PHONE~

GO TO : settings> destinations> internet> options> new access point >

*automatically check for available access points? (click yes)
*packet data available(click select)

EDIT THE FOLLOWING :

(smart users | tested and working)
connection name :PhoneAsModem
access point name : internet
authentication : normal
homepage : none
use access point : after confirmation

click options> advanced settings>

Network type: IPV4
Phone IP Address : Automatic
DNS Address : 8.8.8.8
Proxy Server Address: none
Proxy port number : none

(globe users | not tested ~ try for your own risk )
connection name :PhoneAsModem
access point name : You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now.

homepage : none
use access point : after confirmation

click options> advanced settings>

Network type: IPV4

click back> options> organize> change priority> *make PhoneAsModem's priority 1

HOW TO MAKE A CONNECTION : ~

1. Launch your PC Suite
2. connect phone to computer using bluetooth or usb cord (screenies, i am using bluetooth connection, set your computer as autorized paired device to minimize pop up authentications)
3. click connect to internet
4. wait till established connection

P.S. smart-locked yung phone ko, so i can't try this for Globe.
