For technical assistance, teamviewer gamit ko pero if live viewing lang naman ng mga cameras may specific application na ginagamit every manufacturer.

Dati ang function lang ng cctv system eh mag monitor and magrecord ng videos, so ang nangyayari kapag may nanakawan na dun pa lang natin irereview ang recorded videos sa DVR/NVR natin. 24/7 monitoring is very useful sa mga malls na laging may cctv operator 24/7 na nagmomonitor pero sa mga bahay naman na walang guard na magmonitor kaya "medyo" useless lang din, nanakawan ka na dun mo pa lang ichecheck.

Right now, cctv cameras are now smarter since merong face recognition na pwede nyo pong ilagay sa "whitelisted" faces ng family members po para di madetect na strangers, then lahat po ng tao na papasok sa bahay nyo na hindi registered will be considered as strangers. Once detected, pwede po kayong manotify in real time sa phone nyo po using the application and via email also.

For my recommendation, I recommend the ff:

IP System - most recommended

This NVR can support up to 4 cameras for face recogtion (provided that the cameras support face detection function) then the rest of the channels is normal recording and other basic smart features.

These are 4mp cameras, but you can inquire to them if they have 2mp camera with face detection kung tight budget. The 4mp dome camera has built in microphone in the case that you want to hear sounds from the camera. (sound is recorded in the NVR at pwedeng marinig live)

Analog System (option kung walang budget) - try to inquire sa Rover Brand, their analog brand is better. Ask them kung anong analog cameras nila ang may human detection, led lights, etc. Analog cameras are cheaper than IP.

Sir, ok po ba ang hikvision na brand? Plano kung bumili ng 4 channel na package. Diy lang. At ilang days po ang recording ng 1tb na hdd 2mp cameras? Ty

Hikvision is very well known naman, this brand is owned by the Chinese Government so it's up to you if you'll trust the brand and also sa after sales support sino kakausapin mo in case sa warranty, forgot password etc. make sure when you purchased may puntahan ka pagnagkaaberya. Okay naman quality ng brand na to pero for me hindi sya ang best when it comes to image quality, security, and price point comparing to other chinese brands.

For retention days naman of recordings, aside from the number of cameras and resolution nakadepende pa din to kung anong technology ng camera na bibilhin mo if H.265 supported much better and set at 15fps when recording to save disk space.
Right now, normally analog cameras are H.264 at 10fps recording while IP cameras are H.265 at 25fps. Every brand naman may storage calculator yan, yung storage nakadepende pa din sa requirement na gusto mo. Pagtaas ng frames per second pagtaas ng storage consumption, it can be manually adjusted naman but below 10fps is not recommended magiging robot ang recording mo nyan. 15fps is okay na naman
