The pick is lottery-protected through 2023, Top-12 in 2024, Top-10 in 2025, Top-8 in 2026 and becomes two second-round picks in 2027, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Westbrook requested a trade three weeks ago and will now become a Washington Wizard. He is swapped for 2010 first overall pick John Wall, who did not play in the NBA last season after an Achilles injury.

The Rockets were struggling to find an ideal partner in a Westbrook trade but found one with the Wizards in Wall, who can match his nearly $130 million salary over the next three seasons.
