Philippines may have the potential to use the high-speed and low latency internet offered by space according to Pimentel after he joins the online meet with Cooper – the Spacex representative. In the Philippines, the internet has become a part of a Filipino life. Internet access has an important role in the Philippines such as the new online contact tracing, businesses, services and more. The Philippine current internet is still developing and improving their internet speeds time on time. But we may still experience inconvenience in using the internet of the current existing telecoms offered in the Philippines including Globe and Smart. In the future, we may also use the internet offered by space.Cooper told Pimentel during the online meeting that Starlink will be a valuable forum to provide connectivity between communities and businesses in the Philippines, an archipelago whose 7,641 islands pose a challenge to the conventional infrastructure of the Internet. The third quarter of 2021 was then listed by Cooper as the potential Starlink rollout date in the Philippines.
