This makes the device more useful and functional, catering to the needs of the client from amateur to professional use. Here's a video preview of the CFW in operation:

And here's a useless feature I added while playing with the LEDs on ID4/ID5/L, in case you get bored and wish to have some distraction ;):

These kind of CPEs are highly unlikely to be fully supported under OpenWrt, for the same reason that ADSL wireless routers lose their DSL functions when converted into mainline OpenWrt.
Oh I see. So the only option is just to buy a 3rd-party router that supports OpenWRT and bridge the Fiber CPEs?

yes, it's the best route for now, until these manufacturers open-source the closed-source drivers for their proprietary network hardware, which is also unlikely given their proprietary nature

If you're looking for superadmin, band/PCI locking, and openline for
  • R051
  • FX-ID3
  • FX-ID4
  • FX-ID5
  • FX-ID5L
then this is MUCH better than the regular admin and openline service you'll get. This comes with all those plus more, packaged in this OpenWrt 22.03 CFW custom firmware. You'll find this offered nowhere else but yours truly (and if you do, then they managed to find a way to häçk this and profit from s†éáling the work put into creating this).
