Àlcòhol only makes you feel warm
Àlcòhol is a vasodilator, meaning it dilates blood vessels. The rosy flush commonly known as the "liquor blanket" is simply a result of blood vessels near the surface of the skin dilating; you're not getting warmer, your blood is just being redistributed.
This can actually be even more dangerous, since a main function of your skin receptors is to respond to cold by constricting the blood vessels near the skin so that more blood is sent to internal organs. ******* totally reverses that function.
