Ensure that:

● the software of the TV is up-to-date.

● the USB drive is formatted in a file system that is supported by the TV (FAT, NTFS).

Note: If the power consumption of the storage device is more than 500 mA, use a USB 3.0 port.
Alternatively, if the TV has no 3.0 ports available or the device’s consumption is more than 900 mA, a Y-shaped USB cable can be implemented to use the current of two USB ports to power the device.
In the case of high-power hard disk drives, it is recommended for the device to have its own power source.
Answer
If the USB device is not automatically recognised by the TV, follow these steps:

1. Switch the TV off.

2. Insert the USB storage drive into the TV’s USB port (do not use USB extension cables or USB hubs).

3. Switch the TV set on and wait for one minute for it to be fully operational.

4. Press the “Source” button on the remote control and select the correct [USB] port. If the TV does not recognise the device, try re-inserting it with the TV being switched on and repeat this step.

5. Select the folder/file that is going to be browsed and press “OK”.

If the TV still does not recognise the device, try to format the USB drive in a supported file system, using a computer. Copy the files again and repeat steps 1 to 5.

Note: Not all TVs can play all kinds of files. Check the TV’s manual to ensure that the formats and codecs of the files are supported.
