A cyber security non-profit firm on Monday warned the public against malicious holiday greetings on social media.

Once opened, the holiday greetings would redirect the user to a website asking for their data, and will then send a similar message to the victim's contacts, according to the Cyber Security Philippines - Computer Emergency Response Team.

It warned Filipinos against the following websites:

automatic magsesend sa mga friends mo kapag nag open ka
Nag visit ako jan sa mga yan wala naman nangyari dahil wala naman talagang mangyayari
google apps disabled
fb disabled
messenger disabled
instagram disabled atsaka naka airplane mode kung cautious ka kahit pumasok ka sa mga yan walang mangyayaring masama

Kasi meron palaman yung ibang site i.e ireredirect ka sa google play store para i download yung app nila pwede nilang gamitin itong method na ito para kapag naka running on background yung facebook mo pwede nilang icommand yung facebook app mo para makuha info mo at pwede din nilang gamitin yung fb app mo para mag send sa mga friends mo ng hindi mo malalaman kaya kung may laman yang cp mo i.e connected sa bank account mo damay damay yan lahat ng valuable information mo kukunin nila
