You play as one of the "Blanks", outsiders that were summoned to the realm of Palamecia who mysteriously lost their memories. A heretic named Garland saw potential in you to become the savior of the realm and so begins your journey to claim the role of the Warrior of Light, defeat Chaos and free the world from an oppressive cycle of despair.
Explore the realm of Palamecia and collect job and ability cards that you can mix and match to create your deck. Adapt your deck to your enemy's weaknesses to achieve victory in battle and unlock powerful weapons by clashing with gigantic Sicarius bosses.
Customize your character several ways with skill coins and elemental cards that give your character passive boosts and extra abilities.As expected of Square Enix, the game has an engaging storyline that starts simple, charming and innocent but later unfolds with dramatic and surprising twists. I know it took me for a loop! Along the way you will encounter other characters and gain close allies who later become playable such as Meia the Azure Witch.
