GOVERNMENT SERVICES
- Public sector employment is an important source of Jobs with better pay and conditions for women than many other industrial sectors, but women are constrained by being predominately employed in traditional, gender-stereotyped care sector government occupations such as health and education, and they are under-represented in the higher-paying subsectors.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP
- There has been a rapid surge in the number and proportion of female entrepreneurs in developing countries (Minniti and Naude 2010, 280). Studies indicate that female-led MSMEs increase employment opportunities for women and contribute to wider development goals (ADB and ILO 2013a). One survey indicate that women entrepreneurs are more likely than men to be motivated by necessity; these are livelihood-oriented entrepreneurs attempting to escape unemployment (Viet Nam Women Entrepreneurs Council 2007).

SALIENT POLICIES ON GENDER EQUALITY IN THE LABOR MARKET

The country’s 1987 Constitution has enshrined these rights in Section 3, Article XIII (Bill of Rights), and in Section 14, Article II, which ensures fundamental equality of women and men before the law.
Article 3, Chapter 1 of the Labor Code, as well as Republic Act 6725, 7192, 7877, and 8551, all provide for fundamental human rights protection, including antidiscrimination provisions, and they ensure fundamental equality, prohibition of sexual harassment, and temporary special measures. The Anti-Sexual Harassment Act No. 7877 0f 8 February 1995 is an example of good legislative practice.

Can you explain what is this.
And example for this?

Please Help me

The country’s 1987 Constitution has enshrined these rights in Section 3, Article XIII (Bill of Rights), and in Section 14, Article II, which ensures fundamental equality of women and men before the law.

Mababa ang tingin sa mga babae, na they thought they can't do things what men can do. Kaya nagkakaroon ng gender discrimination na kesyo, di kaya ng mga babae ang ganitong trabaho, kaya hindi sila qualified for the work. May nabasa ako dati na article na long time ago daw, ang mga kababaihan ay hindi na pinag-aaral dahil nga useless daw sa trabaho. Parang nandun yung thinking na "What for? Eh hindi niya naman kaya yung trabaho." So they just stayed at home serving for their husbands which shows dominance of men.

Now, there are existing laws which protects the rights of women and promotes gender equality. Laws na nagsasabing hindi reason ang pagiging "babae" para hindi maqualify sa isang trabaho (since we are talking about jobs). Women should not be rejected from getting a job just because she is a "woman" :)
