What college degrees should you suggest to a highschool graduate for better employment in the future?

Computer related courses maybe the safest option or ideal preference, pero you have to beware na ang mga bata nowadays ay madaling magsawa ang they only see the pleasure side of using a computer / gadgets, pero pag academics at technical side na nito, dun na sila umaayaw. Importante na magbuild-up siya ng passion at interest sa bagay na ito and go beyond the entertainment side of it.

Marami ako naging kaklase noon, had the same reason why they chose this career that's because of computer games but ended dropping out dahil nagsawa at nahirapan sa course.

IT Related. Information Science, Computer Engineering, Management Infomations Systems. Over-saturated na yung Business courses like Marketing, etc.

Chemistry etc.

Its much better if your son decides what to take in the future, i agree with others, whats the point if he's not happy? theres a chance he'll end up like the ones who gone crazy studying and studying, let him choose where he can excel.

for me nasa global construction recruitment ako...

Petroleum Engineering!

Accountancy student here po! Hehehe. Ako pashift na e hahahahaha. May utak pero kinulang sa time management. Ganon talaga.

Ano po status nyo ngayon? In terms of employment, salary, position nyo po sa industry and company na pinili nyo po?

I would suggest getting a course in business management or if you want your children to have a stable job within the government then they should get a BSEd course. Becoming a teacher isn't all about money but also a pride for every family to have a member with a respectable profession. Engineering is very competitive especially when you graduate and want to become a real one, medical courses are also competitive and the jobs you can get when you graduate are scarce if not limited, IT and computer engineering related courses are promising especially now that we are more technologically reliant ( and IT's make more money than most jobs, many billionaires have IT backgrounds too.) With this said, whatever your children choose to pursue will still depend to what they really like to become or what they like doing. You should ask them to the course they want to get in college and support them all the way as long as you think it's not a very bad one.

Better ask your kid if ano hilig niya or ano ang degree na curious siya. Then let him/her try that course. If ayaw niya then he/she can just shift to another course na gusto niya. Just support your kid on his decision and let him/her make the decision.
