Maynilad will be implementing the second phase of its Putatan Water Treatment Plant 2 Project, which will increase the facility’s production capacity and consequently improve service reliability for Maynilad customers in the south. This project will involve the expansion of the Ultrafiltration, Reverse Osmosis and Biological Aerated Filter processes of PWTP2 to push plant production from only 100 mld (million liters per day) to as much as 150mld.
As a result, some Maynilad customers in parts of Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, and Imus and Bacoor in Cavite will experience water service interruptions daily from September 27, 2019 (Friday) until October 7, 2019 (Monday). Below is the complete list of the affected barangays and their respective schedules.
Affected customers are encouraged to store enough water for the duration of the water service interruptions. Maynilad has 30 water tankers on standby, ready to deliver water to affected areas as needed.
Upon resumption of the water service, customers should let the water flow out for a few seconds until the water clears.
