When faced with difficulty, it is easy to focus on the size of the challenge. But if that is all we see, we are sure to give in to fear, or even despair. So God invites us to look back on the victories that He has already one for us. And when we do, we can move forward with confidence in His strength, knowing that God is mightier than whatever challenge we face.
Father God, thank You for all the times that You have rescued me and protected me from harm. Your faithfulness and Your power are without equal. Lord, I call on Your mighty hand to intervene in this new challenge and deliver a victory for me so that everyone may see how great and powerful You are. In Jesus’ name, amen.
