I consider myself as the "lazy-student-turned-developer". It started with my first android phone, being someone that looks for things "interesting enough to spark my curiosity", I learned what rooting is and it's wonders. My then 4Gb-flash drive suddenly became heavy with user-space tools for modding, just for fun. The fun part stopped with my arrogant mistake of flashing a non-compatible ROM. I loved the phone (honestly, i was just so broke to buy a new one) so I gradually delved in deeper to learn what android really is, just to revive it.
It has been 5 months, 26 bootloops, 11 softbricks, and a lot missed meals, sleepless nights, shouted curses and things unimaginable has passed since then. Have already owned, tinkered, and dispatched of 5 android phones. I still keep my first as a keepsake, my super surplus SE Xperia Arc. Fully optimized on CM 9.1 (custom source), CWM recovery, self-compiled OC kernel, etc.
Actively using my MP Rio Fun:
**Fully rooted (manually): BL unlocked, true SU, the works
**Custom Recovery: CTR w/ Aroma FM
**Personally Modded ROM: intimately personal, boot logo, tones, launcher, system apps, EVERYTHING. Created my own "modes" that lets me replace apps and settings at whim, tuning the phone from--
----gaming mode = PSP, PS1 and NDS emus and ROMS, game apps, optimized performance and display, RAM and battery works
----entertainment = video player w/ custom codecs and true full HD, 3 different music players (sometimes, I prefer Walkman over PowerAmp, true), equalizers, enhanced volume and display, etc.
----social/surf = social apps, enhanced data/wifi connectivity, proxies, browsers and downloaders
----productivity=office suite (word, excel, ppt, pdf reader, etc), c/c++/g/java/shell compilers, terminal emulator, picture and vectore editors, the works.

So there. That is the 5month-old me. Putting android gadgets aside for a while, I'm pushing two things at the moment, that is:
**acquiring free internet, by hook or crook (LOL)
**developing my own arcade-type game (honest). Source is halfway done, struggling with sprites, BG, everything graphic (no funds to buy a graphic tablet), haven't started sound engineering yet, storyline's been drafted and being written every now and then. It's hard, especially if you're the only one who's doing all of it. ;-)
